Dr. Monica Romero (She/Her/Ella) is a school psychologist who provides psychological evaluations, school-based intervention, and consultation services. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families. She received her Masters and Doctorate in School Psychology from the University of Missouri. Dr. Romero completed her APPIC predoctoral internship at the Santa Barbara Psychological Internship Consortium and is completing her post-doctoral training at TPACenter.
Across her services, Dr. Romero provides culturally and linguistically responsive evidence-based practices. She is passionate about serving multilingual populations and helping students with school-based academic, social-emotional, and mental health services. Dr. Romero has experience as a bilingual school psychologist working in multiple school districts and serving bilingual clients. She is also an assistant professor at the University of Texas at Austin in the School/Clinical Child Psychology program.
