Consultation
No matter what difficulties you are facing, a consultation is the first step. Contact us today for information on availability with one of our psychologists to schedule a meeting to review your situation or concerns. We value your time, and our goal is for you to walk away from the first meeting armed with some new understanding of your situation, options, and resources to move forward with.
You don't have to have all the answers, just be open to exploring possibilities.
Life can be really difficult. Transitions, phases of life that challenge us and make us question what we knew about ourselves, these things are all quite stressful. But these are the processes by which we all grow and evolve. Our professionals will collaborate with you, working with you to identify strengths and resources that you are already utilizing to help yourself, and then building up from there to arm you with the tools you need to achieve the goals you identify.
Solution-oriented, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused, Executive Functioning Support--we are experts with highly specialized training in how to work not only with adults but children, teens, and families.
Struggling at school or home to learn new things, stay focused, make friends, regulate emotions, and maintain expected behaviors can be indications of an underlying learning, attention, mood, or behavior disorder. We are specialists in collaborating across systems and adhere to the very highest standards of assessment and feedback.
Helping you, your family, or a school identify a problem then address it through collaborative, solution-oriented meetings. We make an action plan tailored to the identified problem and provide ongoing collaboration and trouble-shooting to help you accomplish the goal.
We want to partner with you in the process. Read about our team members and give us a call today to set out in a new direction for yourself, your child, or your family.
When you, your child, or your teen are experiencing difficulties at school or at home, a psychological or neuropsychological assessment can be an effective way to get some clarity and make well-informed decisions on what will help best moving forward. Our psychologists specialize in assessment of ADHD/ADD, Dyslexia and other Specific Learning Disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Giftedness, and cognitive processing differences.
A comprehensive assessment can be an opportunity to learn much more about yourself or your child, including areas of strength as well as specific challenges. It can often be a springboard for new growth and awareness, setting you or your child up for success in ways you may not have considered before.
Therapy is a collaborative process. We believe you already possess a number of strengths to build upon. You bring the desire for change and a willing attitude, and we bring specialized training to the table. It’s our role to help you identify your areas of strength and to maximize them, while building up new patterns of thinking and being able to support healthy change. If you, your child, or adolescent has a need for the support of a therapy relationship, or if you just need to sit and talk with someone to get some ideas on the best course of action to address a situation in your life you want to change, we are here to help.
Consultation is the first step in the process of obtaining support, but sometimes it may be the best path forward. If your child is struggling in school, for example, ongoing consultation between you and one of our psychologists, integrating in school personnel and other providers, can be a helpful and solution-focused path forward.
